HOUSTON—The upcoming weekend is going to be drier than what the Houston area has seen the past few weeks, and as a result the heat will be intense.
It was 89-degrees in downtown Houston at noon but it felt more like 98. The heat index will continue to be high this weekend, with conditions feeling as hot as 105-108.
"We might see those heat advisories come into play next week," said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
Lows overnight will be in the mid to upper-70s and although some fair weather cumulus clouds are floating around, rain is not really in the forecast.
