HOUSTON -- Whatever falls here in southeast Texas Thursday night will be very light, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist David Paul.
We’ve got a decent chance of seeing rain mixing with sleet overnight and into Friday morning. For the northwest portions of southeast Texas, the mixture could turn over to all sleet. The best chance for the rain/sleet mixture is between 3:00 a.m. and noon on Friday.
No accumulation is expected in southeast Texas because the surface temps are expected to stay above freezing.
Areas west of Austin could see up to four inches of snow.
For those tailgating at the Texans-Bengals game on Saturday, there’s a 30 percent chance of rain in the afternoon with temps in the 50s.
With the exception of a few minutes on Thursday, it has been days since we’ve seen the sun. Sunshine returns on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
