HOUSTON -- Wednesday morning’s rain is gone, leaving us with a cool, breezy afternoon under a mix of sun and clouds, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

This afternoon we’ll top out in the low- to mid-70s.

“We had a front quickly move through the area early this morning,” said Johnson. “Now we’re left with some clearing behind this. Throughout most of our day today we’ll see mainly clear skies.”

The clear skies mean cooler temperatures overnight tonight heading into early Thursday, when we’ll bottom out in the low-50s.

Thursday will also top out in the mid-70s, but Friday is a little warmer with a slight chance for rain.

The clouds carry over into Saturday, but we'll still see a lot of sunshine as Sunday approaches. There's only a slight chance for rain this weekend as temps drop into the low-70s for a beautiful start to next week.
