HOUSTON—After storms hit the Houston area in the late morning and early afternoon Sunday, weather conditions are expected to quiet down overnight.
Coastal showers will return to Galveston on Monday morning and they’ll move inland through the early afternoon with isolated showers continuing through the evening.
The chance for rain will get as high as 50-percent by the afternoon but by the middle of the week, things should return to normal July conditions. Temperatures will warm up into the low to mid-90s and chances for showers will diminish as the scattered afternoon thunderstorm makes its return.
A flood warning is in effect until 10 p.m. on Tuesday for Harris County and 4 a.m. Tuesday for Montgomery and Brazoria Counties. A flood warning is also in effect for Calhoun County until 8 a.m. Monday and Liberty County until 4 p.m. Monday.
