HOUSTON—There is still a slight chance for a few spotty showers around town, but for the most part we can expect a mix of sun and clouds for Friday afternoon.
Highs this afternoon are in the low to mid-90s with humidity making it feel as high as 100 and 105 degrees. Over the weekend and into next week, weather will mostly be a repeat of what happens today.
So far this year, Houston has received nearly 32 inches of rain. At this time last year, we hadn’t even gotten 10 inches. Drought conditions are non-existent in southeast Texas, although areas to the west are still seeing severe to extreme drought.
