HOUSTON—Despite some possible showers in counties to the north today, overall conditions will continue to be hot and humid.
"It’s going to be a steamy day. That’s what you can count on," said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
There is a frontal boundary to the north that could mean some isolated thunderstorms later in the afternoon but central and southern counties can expect to stick with temperatures that feel between 100 and 105 degrees.
Tropical Depression 7 formed yesterday and if it becomes a storm, it will be called Gordon. Ernesto is fizzling out and may strengthen again in the Pacific, where it would be renamed.
"As far as Ernesto goes, we’re saying goodbye," said Johnson.
