HOUSTON – Areas south of Interstate 10 had a real issue with fog Tuesday morning, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
A dense fog advisory was issued for much of southeast Texas until 9 a.m. Some counties had visibility below one mile, reported the National Weather Service. Drivers were warned to keep space between cars and to use their low beam headlights.
We’ll top out around 80 degrees this afternoon. A cool front will move through in the later hours and bring a 40-percent chance of rain.
“This afternoon and evening we are tracking our next front,” said Johnson. “That will provide us with our next chance for showers, but until then it’s just about the fog.”
On Wednesday, our high temp drops to 73 degrees.
We have a slight chance for rain again this weekend as our temperatures rise back into the upper-70s.
