HOUSTO N – If you were hoping for a cool, fall-like weekend you’re out of luck, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

Temperatures across Houston early Friday were in the 50s and 60s. Some scattered showers were reported along the coast.

“It is a mild start to your Friday,” said Johnson. “As you head outside you might notice some patchy fog mainly in the Conroe and Cleveland areas.”

There’s a 20-percent chance of rain Friday. We’ll be under partly cloudy skies as we top out around 76 degrees.

This weekend we’ll be even warmer with temperatures in the upper-70s and low-80s.

Next week we’ll continue to see warm temperatures with a new chance for rain.
