HOUSTON—It’s going to be cloudy and cold again Thursday and temperatures are expected to take a dip overnight, so be sure to bundle up over the next couple of days, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson said.
Thursday kicked off with lows in the 30s, highs are expected to top off in the lower-40s and there is a 20-percent chance for rain this afternoon. Temperatures will dip overnight and, on Friday, there is a possibility that we will see sleet.
“We are watching a disturbance in Mexico that is going to push into Wst Texas this evening, and because of that, we could start to see a few early showers move in late tonight,” Johnson said. “By tomorrow morning, because of how cold our temperatures will be, we could not only see a few spotty showers and the possibility of sleet, especially in our northwest counties.”
If that happens, bridges and overpasses could ice over, so be careful out there.
If you’re missing the sun, it’ll be back Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, with high temperatures rising back into the 60s each day.
