HOUSTON – After overnight storms the rest of Thursday is cool and clear, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson said.

The afternoon high is expected to top out around 69 degrees.

“The rest of the day is going to be gorgeous, savor the cool temperatures,” she said. “You will probably need your sweater for the rest of the day.”

Johnson said people south of Interestate-10 received over an inch of rain. The areas north of I-10 received about a half of an inch. The rain has moved out well to our east.

On Friday we will see more sun with afternoon temperatures in the mid-70s.

The pleasant, sunny weather continues through the weekend with a few clouds returning mid-next week.
