HOUSTON — Some parts of Houston got a good soaking on Saturday, and the chance for rain continues on Sunday, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
Most areas saw about a half-inch of rain, but Conroe received 1.22 inches.
“Looking at the temperatures, we’ll start Sunday morning in the low-60s before we warm up into the 70s and 80s,” said Gomez. “We could see a shower breakout in the heat of the afternoon.”
A front moving in off the Gulf could bring an extra chance for rain Sunday to the motorcycle rally going on in Galveston.
Overall there’s a 40-percent chance for rain Sunday. On Monday the rain chance drops to 20 percent.
Temperatures will dip slightly on Election Day Tuesday, but after that we’ll be back in the upper-70s and 80s with no chance for rain.
