HOUSTON —A flash flood watch remains in effect for all of Southeast Texas until 1 p.m. Friday. Flash flood warnings remained in effect for some areas around bayous and creeks.
“We could see a repeat performance of Thursday’s downpours on Friday morning,” KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson said.
The lows will be in the mid-70s and the highs will reach the upper 80s.
She said we can expect more of the same over the next couple of days.
“We’ll see widespread one-to-two inches of rain, pockets though, up to three, even five inches of rain just as we saw Thursday,” she said.
The chance of rain remains 30-to-50 percent through early next week.
“This rain isn’t really going anywhere anytime soon,” she said.
