HOUSTON – Shanti, the Houston Zoo’s 19-year-old Asian elephant, had a ton of fun Sunday when the zoo threw her a baby shower. Dozens of people turned out to watch Shanti eat a special cake and open her gifts. Shanti is expecting a big delivery sometime this spring.
