HOUSTON – Early morning mist could turn into quick moving storms heading into lunchtime, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

There’s a 50-percent chance for rain Monday.

“We could see storms between 8 a.m. and noon today,” said Johnson. “As they approach from the northwest, we’ll see some scattered showers develop. After noon, you won’t need the umbrellas.”

In the afternoon hours, wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour are possible. We’ll top out around 70 degrees Monday.

Tuesday will be cooler with early morning temperatures in the low-40s and daytime temps in the mid-60s. It will be mostly sunny.

The nice, breezy weather continues the rest of the week through the weekend. Chilly temperatures move in Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
