HOUSTON – Wednesday started off hot and muggy, but some isolated storms could cool things off this afternoon, said KHOU 11 News Meterologist Brooks Garner.
Wednesday’s forecast high is 96 degrees with a 50-percent chance for rain. Some of this rain could come from storms with damaging wind.
Thursday’s high is only 92 degrees with a 30-percent chance for rain.
The rain chances dwindle as we head into the weekend, but the daytime temperatures will remain in the low- to mid-90s.
Next week a slight chance for rain returns.
Looking to the tropics, we have a medium chance of a tropical wave developing further in the Caribbean. It’s expected to move into the Gulf over the next two or three days, and then a jet stream is expected to push it eastward. This weekend we’ll have a much better idea of where it’s heading.
