HOUSTON – The spring-like weather will continue with some scattered showers moving through the area Friday morning, KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul said.

Temps will start off in the mid-60s with a 40 percent chance of rain during the morning commute. The chance for rain will continue throughout the day as temperatures warm up to the upper-70s.

There is a 70 percent chance of rain Saturday as a line of thunderstorms make their way through the Houston area by with the threat of severe weather.

While there will be some scattered showers in the morning, the real storm will not arrive until the afternoon and could bring some hail and generate some tornadoes.

After the thunderstorms pass through this weekend, temps will drop again to the 40s and 50s next week.
