HOUSTON – If you like spring time, then you love this weekend’s weather, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said Saturday morning.

While the northern portion of the state is experiencing temperatures in the low-60s Saturday, the Houston area is 20 degrees warmer with not rain in sight.

Expect a high of 78 later Saturday afternoon for most of the Houston area with a few places in hitting 80.

Temperatures will dip back down in the upper-50s this evening, but Sunday will mirror Saturday with highs in the mid-70s.

Be sure to get outside and enjoy the spring fling while it lasts. A cold front is slated to move through the area late Tuesday to early Wednesday bringing rain back to Houston area.
