HOUSTON — Showers could develop as early as Saturday evening west of the Houston metro area ahead of a cold front, according KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
Eventually most of these showers will push into Houston by Sunday for what is expected to be a soggy weekend. Light rain is already starting to form ahead of a cold front out west.
The cold front brings a 30-percent chance for rain Saturday and a 60-percent chance Sunday. The frontal boundary will move through the area around midnight Saturday.
Highs on Saturday are likely to stay in the upper-60s with cloudy skies. However, there will be about a 10-degree drop in temperatures Sunday with highs in the upper-50s.
Daytime temps will drop slightly for the start of the new week, but we’ll increase to the mid-70s by Tuesday.
Wednesday and Thursday another front moves through, putting us in the upper-30s early Thursday morning.
Don’t forget to spring forward Saturday night/Sunday morning! Set those clocks one hour ahead for Daylight Saving Time.
