HOUSTON –- A few scattered showers are still popping up in the Houston area, but for the most part it will be muggy and dry on Tuesday.
KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez says we’ll top out around 90 degrees with a 20-percent chance for rain today. Isolated showers and storms will continue to move in off the coast through the afternoon hours.
After Tuesday, the skies will be mostly clear through the weekend. The rain goes away for the rest of the week as our daytime temperatures climb a couple more degrees.
By the weekend we will be heading into the mid-90s as the reality of summertime in Southeast Texas sets in.
Next Monday a slight chance for rain returns.
