HOUSTON -- Scattered rain and thunderstorms will continue to move through the Houston area with the arrival of a cool front, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
The rain moved into the city around lunchtime and will leave us with slick roads for the drive home.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 8 p.m. Thursday for Polk County.
The rain is expected to last until later tonight, after which the temperatures will cool off and the humidity will drop.
Overnight we’ll drop into the low-50s. Friday will be cooler than it has been in recent days with a daytime high of 70 degrees.
This weekend is looking nice with cool overnight temps and pleasant, sunny skies in the daytime.
Early next week a slight chance for rain returns.
