HOUSTON -- The scattered showers and thunderstorms will clear out Tuesday evening because of the loss of daytime heating, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
Temps will drop to the low-70s Tuesday evening and overnight.
“This is going to be truly the first breath of fall air we’ve had in months,” Garner said. “it will be nice.”
The chance for scattered rain continues the rest of this week with daytime highs around 90 degrees and overnight lows in the lower-70s.
This weekend a cool front will move through the Houston area, leaving us with clear skies by Sunday. Early Sunday morning our temps will bottom out around 60 degrees, and in the afternoon we'll reach a high in the low- to mid-80s.
Monday morning may be even cooler, but daytime heating will quickly get us back into the 80s.
