HOUSTON — The misty weather and chance for scattered showers will continue Monday evening, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.

A cold front moved through Southeast Texas late Monday morning. The Houston metro area topped out at 45 degrees, but temps will drop back down into the 30s this evening with 50 percent chance of rain.

The colder temps and rains will make for some slick roadways for the communities north of the metro area.

Overnight lows will bottom out at 33 degrees with most of the moisture leaving the area by Tuesday morning.

Temps are likely to reach 52 on Tuesday, just slightly warmer than what we have seen the past few days.

The rest of this week will be cold with daytime highs in the 40s and 50s under cloudy skies.

There’s a chance for scattered rain throughout the week, with an increasing chance for rain Friday and Saturday.
