HOUSTON -– There's an increasing chance for isolated rain Tuesday afternoon across southeast Texas, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

The skies will be mostly sunny with a 20-percent chance for rain. We'll top out around 95 degrees this afternoon.

“I still think today is going to be mostly be dry,” said Johnson. “We just have that slight chance for a stray shower.”

The slight chance for rain carries over into Wednesday as a few clouds linger in the sky.

The seven-day forecast calls for much of the same: muggy mornings and hot afternoons. Stay in the shade when you can and drink plenty of water.
