HOUSTON — The summer-like weather will continue Sunday making for a pleasant Father’s Day in the Houston area, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.

Temps will start out in the mid-70 before peaking at about 91. Of course, it will feel more like the mid-90s with the humidity.

We may see a stray shower near the coast in the morning, but there is only a 20 percent chance for rain for the holiday.

With the new work week, we could see the chance for rain pick up again by Wednesday. Expect to see temps reach the mid-90s heading into next weekend.

Summer officially begins on June 21.

Happy Father's Day!.
