HOUSTON -- We’re now less than 24 hours from the official start of summer – and it feels like it.
Friday will be another hot and muggy day in the Houston area.
Isolated storms and downpours started moving in off the Gulf shortly before lunchtime, especially in Fort Bend and Brazoria Counties.
"Overall we have a 20- to 30-percent chance for rain today, otherwise it's bright and sunny with just a few clouds in the sky," said Meteorologist Brooks Garner. "I'm not expecting too much rain after 1 p.m."
We'll top out in the low- to mid-90s for the next several days.
This weekend will be the same, but early next week a new chance for rain moves in.
By next Wednesday and Thursday scattered showers could cool our temperatures a bit for next weekend.
