HOUSTON – A few scattered showers will move through southeast Texas early Tuesday afternoon, but for most people it will just be hot, humid, and sunny, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
We’ll top out around 96 degrees with a 20-percent chance for rain. Enjoy the rain if you get it, because the chances are diminishing for the rest of the week.
High pressure is building in, pushing our temperatures higher in the coming days. Garner says we could see our first triple digit temps this week.
On Sunday and Monday a chance for scattered showers returns.
Looking to the Tropics, things remain calm with no disturbances for the foreseeable future. On the Pacific side, Hurricane Cosme formed off the west coast of Mexico. It’s heading west and is not expected to impact the mainland.
