HOUSTON – Mother Nature will close out 2012 with some wet weather as heavy rains are forecasted for Monday, KHOU 11 Meteorologist Mario Gomez said.
There is an 80 percent chance of rain putting a bit of a damper on area festivities. The storms are expected to intensify in the afternoon and could cause some flash-flooding.
Expect a high of 66 on Monday, but temperatures should cool down to the mid-50s as the New Year arrives.
