HOUSTON -– Don’t expect much of a warm-up this afternoon as scattered rain continues to move in from the west, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
We’ll only top out around 40 degrees Friday afternoon with a 20-percent chance for rain.
A Winter Weather Advisory for Austin, Colorado, Grimes, Walker, and Washington counties has been set to expire at 2 p.m.
“If you’re traveling to Austin or San Antonio, be careful on bridges and over passes,” said Garner. “Closer to Houston we’ll just have wet roadways this afternoon.”
Later this evening the rain goes away and the clouds will start to clear out, leaving us with a mostly sunny Saturday. Temperatures early Saturday morning will be in the mid-30s and the afternoon temps will be in the low-60s.
Sunday will be a little warmer with a few more clouds in the sky.
On Monday and Tuesday a good chance for rain returns as another cold front moves through.
