HOUSTON — The chilly weather is going to stick around for a while with cold and rainy conditions this weekend, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said.
Temps are expected to peak at just 49 on Saturday with a 50 percent chance of rain as scattered showers linger in the Houston area for the weekend. The chance for rain will stay the same for Sunday, but will increase to 80 percent on Monday as another front moves in.
Overnight lows Saturday will drop down to the low-40s and will not warm up much on Sunday with highs in the mid-40s.
Communities north and northwest will see a wintry mix for the next few days, but the closest it should get to the Greater Houston area will be Tomball.
The skies should start to clear up in time for Thanksgiving, but the temperatures will remain chilly next week.
