HOUSTON – Monday may feel like a June afternoon with the warm, breezy weather, but seasonal weather will return soon, KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul said.
The unusual warm weather continued Monday with highs in the upper-70s and cloud coverage for most of the Houston area. Expect this evening’s lows to hover around the low-60s, roughly 4 degrees warmer than the average temperature for this time of year.
However, on Tuesday, a low-pressure cold front will make its way through the area bringing rain and seasonable temperatures. There is a 30 percent chance of rain for Tuesday morning, but as the day progresses and the front draws closer, the chance of rain will increase to 60 percent.
The front could bring some severe weather to the area late Tuesday as it makes its way through the KHOU 11 viewing area about 10 p.m.
Come Wednesday, temperatures will get back to normal for this time of year with highs in the low-60s and lows in the mid-40s.
