HOUSTON -- The Houston City Council has delayed a vote on an Interlocal Agreement with Harris County and the Harris County - Houston Sports Authority that would clear the way for the construction of a new stadium for the Major League Soccer Houston Dynamo.
Council members said there were too many unanswered questions about the deal and wanted reassurances of the city's role in the stadium.
As 11 News reported last week, the proposed stadium passed a critical hurdle when the Sports Authority agreed to take a central role in negotiations.
Harris County Commissioners are expected to consider the Interlocal Agreement next month.
