HOUSTON—Houston police found a homeless man sleeping inside a church near downtown Houston after breaking in Wednesday night.

Police said the homeless man, who has mental issues, broke out the glass door of the St. John’s Church and Knowles-Rowland Center for Hope, located on Crawford at Gray, around 11:45 p.m.

When police arrived, they found him lying on the floor on the fourth level of the building and took him into custody.
