HOUSTON—A Houston police officer pleaded guilty to theft and in exchange he was given two years of probation a $500 fine and 120 hours of community service.

Prosecutors said Stefan Riha took money from citizens during traffic stops targeted undocumented immigrants near the Galleria.

He was arrested in May after stealing $1,100 from an undercover officer.

Riha was fired from the Houston Police Department and must now surrender his peacekeeping license.
