HOUSTON -- Police said an investigation was underway early Monday after an HPD officer hit another driver at an intersection in southeast Houston.
It happened around 12:15 a.m.
Officers with the Houston Police Department said the officer was responding to a scene with lights and sirens when a pickup failed to yield. The cars collided on the S. Loop frontage road at Crestmont.
The male in the pickup truck was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. The officer was not hurt.
The intersection was closed for more than three hours for the investigation.
