HOUSTON – Houston police say a deadly home invasion in southeast Houston on Saturday morning may have been the result of a drug deal gone bad.
Just after 6 a.m., three men stormed into an apartment in the 7100 block of Lawndale and shot a man and his dog, police said. The man, Ascehsion Garcia, 31, died at the scene. A friend of the victim said the dog died later.
Police said that the three suspects connected to the shooting are still on the run.
