HOUSTON – An intruder was shot and killed Thursday morning at a southwest Houston apartment complex.
Police said two suspects used a crowbar to break into a unit at the Paradise apartments located in the 7600 block of Moonmist shortly before 8 a.m.
A man, woman and a 3-year-old child were home at the time. One of the suspects had a gun, but so did the homeowner. The homeowner opened fire, shooting one of the intruders.
Both suspects fled the apartment, but the wounded one collapsed outside. He died on the scene.
