HOUSTON -- A small coupe was traveling at a high rate of speed when it rear-ended another vehicle on the West Loop, police said early Wednesday.
Both vehicles slammed into the guardrail, causing the coupe to rollover.
Houston police said it happened around 1 a.m. near the exit for San Felipe. Witnesses told police the small car was speeding northbound when hit the back of an older white SUV.
The driver of the car was sent to the hospital in stable condition. The SUV’s driver was treated at the scene.
The crash caused the closure of the northbound lanes for about 30 minutes.
