HOUSTON—A speeding motorcyclist was killed when he slammed into the side of a pickup truck late Wednesday, Houston police said.

The crash happened in the 400 block of Little York around 8:45 p.m.

Police said the victim was driving a green Kawasaki ZX14 motorcycle at an estimated 100 mph eastbound on Little York when he struck the rear of a white Nissan Frontier pickup truck making a left turn from Little York onto O’Donnell Street.

The impact was so great, it spun the truck around 360 degrees. The 29-year-old victim died at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

A man and his son in the pickup were not hurt.

The driver of the pickup said he didn’t even see the motorcycle coming.

No charges are expected in the case, HPD said.
