HOUSTON – A man is dead after crashing his brand new motorcycle into a pickup truck Friday night in northwest Houston, police said.
According to the Houston Police Department, the accident happened around 9 p.m. on FM 1960 at Centerfield as the rider was leaving a Starbucks. He lost control on the motorcycle and went over the median into oncoming traffic.
The rider slammed head-on into the pickup, police said. He died at the scene.
Two people were in the pickup and neither was hurt in the accident.
Police said the rider had just purchased the motorcycle the day before the accident.
