HOUSTON – A suspected drunk driver was arrested late Thursday after crashing into a street sweeper on the North Loop Freeway, according to Houston police.

Police said a man was driving an SUV eastbound on the North Loop Freeway at Ella when he crashed into the back of a street-sweeping convoy truck.

The SUV rolled over after the crash.

The accident blocked the eastbound lanes of traffic for about 45 minutes until crews cleared the scene.

The SUV driver was given a field sobriety test at the scene.

He was arrested for suspicion of DWI.
