HOUSTON – Several suspects were taken into custody early Friday after police spotted a machine gun in the back of a car during a traffic stop, according to Houston police.
An HPD officer pulled a car over in a shopping center in the 9800 block of Westpark around 2:30 a.m.
The officer saw what appeared to be an Uzi submachine gun in the back seat and called for backup.
Several HPD units and two constables responded to the scene.
Four suspects were then taken into custody.
No further details were available.
