HOUSTON –- Three men accused of firing gunshots at a northwest Houston home were taken into custody following a chase and search early Wednesday, police said.

The Houston Police Department said officers were called to the 2300 block of W. Tidwell around 1:30 a.m. after someone reported shots being fired. A car in front of the home was shot up, but no injuries were reported.

The first officer on the scene spotted the suspects’ vehicle, which took off heading westbound.

The suspects eventually turned northbound and hit a dead end on Evergreen Terrace at Woodland Oaks. Three men jumped out and ran but were later located with the help of an HPD helicopter.

HPD said several weapons, including rifles, were found in the suspects’ vehicle.
