HOUSTON – A woman was arrested early Monday after leading police on a high-speed chase in the northeast side of town, according to Houston police.
An HPD unit attempted to pull over the woman for a traffic violation on Shweikhardt at Liberty around 1:30 a.m., but she refused to stop. She drove her SUV from Liberty to Homestead, then turned west on Calvacade and continued to Lockwood.
She was driving north on Lockwood at about 90 miles per hour when she finally pulled into a driveway on Lundy at Tidwell. That is when she was taken into custody.
A male passenger in the vehicle was briefly detained, but was released after questioning.
