HOUSTON – Houston police have identified one out of three suspects who allegedly forced a woman into a car, robbed her and tried to force her to perform sexual acts.
Luis Ramirez, 30, was charged with aggravated robbery.
Police said on February 4, a woman was walking in the 6000 block of Sherman around 9:45 p.m. when three men pulled up next to her in a gray Kia Soul. The front passenger jumped out with a gun and forced her to get inside.
The suspects drove off with the woman, then pulled over in the 7100 block of Ave. P and forced her to get out. They took her cell phone and other property, then forced her to take off her clothes.
One of the suspects placed a gun to her head and ordered her to perform sexual acts on them, but she refused. Just then, a boy walked out of a nearby home and the suspects fled the scene.
The victim was able to get their license plate number and gave the information to police.
Police were able to track down the owner of the vehicle, a woman, whose daughter said Ramirez was her boyfriend and the only male who ever drove the vehicle.
Police then provided the victim with a photo lineup and she was able to positively identify Ramirez as one of the suspects. The other two suspects have not yet been identified.
