HOUSTON – A suspected drunk driver was arrested after crashing into two motorists in southwest Houston, sending both to the hospital early Thursday, according to Houston police.
A man was driving a pickup truck northbound on Fondren around 2:30 a.m. when he crossed over the middle median and slammed into an SUV waiting at a red light on the opposite side.
The driver then slammed into a second SUV, causing it to roll over, pinning the driver inside. The trapped driver was freed by HFD Heavy Rescue then transported to the hospital in stable condition.
The first driver that was struck was also taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The driver who caused the accident was arrested for DWI.
