HOUSTON—Two teenage suspects got into a shootout with a security guard at a southeast Houston game room early Monday after trying to hold up the place, according to Houston police.

It happened at Gold Diggers in the 5400 block of Airport around 1 a.m.

The suspects, ages 15 and 17, were wearing ski masks and hoodies when they tried to rob the business, but a security guard thwarted their plan. The guard opened fire on the young suspects, striking the 15-year-old in the leg. That teen was taken to the hospital for treatment.

His 17-year-old accomplice was captured a short distance from the scene.
