HOUSTON – Two people were transported to the hospital Thursday night after their car was struck by a Metro Light Rail in downtown Houston.
Houston police said a male driver and a female passenger were traveling in a car eastbound on Dallas around 11:30 p.m. when they ran a red light at the Main intersection.
The train slammed into the side of the car, injuring both people. They were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
No one was on the train at the time and the conductor was not hurt.
