HOUSTON—An angry ex-boyfriend assaulted a woman and her son after forcing his way into their home, according to Houston police.
Emmanuel Mallard, 19, was charged with felony injury to a child.
Mallard’s ex girlfriend said that on October 14, he barged into her house without permission. Once inside, he pushed her against a table, injuring her. He then picked up a figurine and threw it at her 12-year-old, hitting him on the foot, which caused it to bruise and swell.
Mallard had already been convicted of assault of a family member in late August.
He was given no bond for this latest offense.
