HOUSTON – A Houston dad was in serious trouble after his child ingested marijuana while in his care, according to Houston police.
Danny Roy Montez, 31, was charged with endangering a child.
Police said Montez was alone with his children – ages 2, 4 and 6 – on August 25 when he left a bag of marijuana out. The toddler accidentally ate the pot and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
During the investigation, police discovered the father was a suspect in several recent burglaries. He was arrested and placed in jail with no bond.
The children remain in their mother’s care, but CPS has gotten involved in the case.
