HFD: Suspicious fire destroys vacant home in the Heights area

HOUSTON—Police are investigating a suspicious fire that destroyed a vacant house late Saturday.
It happened on Kiam at Cohn in the Heights area. 
HFD responded to the fire around 10:35 p.m. and found heavy flames coming from the one-story, wood frame house. They made a fast attack and put the fire out, but the inside was completely burned. The empty home had no electricity and was for sale. 
There was also a violation notice from the city on the front gate. Arson is now investigating.
